🇬🇧 Linux Install Party Summer Semester 2026

We are excited to announce that we are once again kicking off the new semester with a Linux Install Party!

If you’re curious about Linux as an operating system, would like to test it out, even install it on your machine or just chat about techy things with people you are very welcome to join us on the 22nd of April in room 1-130 at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. We’ll start at 2:15 PM with an open end!

Experienced Linux users are also very welcome to attend and are invited to offer guidance to people who might not know their way around Linux as well.

If you are curious about testing or installing Linux you should bring a laptop. We will provide plenty flashed thumb drives that you can use to boot from with a variety of distributions, namely Mint, Fedora, and Arch. If you would like to toy around with another distribution, feel free to bring it with you!

Just like last time, there will be beer and mate for you to enjoy!

Wir freuen uns euch mitzuteilen, dass wir auch dieses Semester wieder mit einer Linux-Installationsparty beginnen.

Sollten Sie Interesse an Linux als Betriebssystem haben, es ausprobieren wollen, gar installieren wollen oder nur über Technik babbeln wollen, sind Sie herzlichst eingeladen am 22. April in Raum 1-130 an der Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences an unserer Linux-Installationsparty teilzunehmen. Wir beginnen um 14:15 Uhr mit einem offenen Ende.

Erfahrene Linuxbenutzer:innen sind eingeladen ihr Wissen mit weniger erfahrenen Menschen zu teilen!

Wenn Sie Linux testen oder installieren möchten, bringen Sie gerne einen Laptop mit. Wir werden reichlich geflashte USB-Sticks zur Verfügung stellen, auf denen verschiedene Distributionen vorhanden sind; namentlich Mint, Fedora und Arch. Wenn Sie eine nicht gelistete Distribution testen oder installieren möchten, können Sie diese selbstverständlich auch mitbringen!

Wie letztes Mal wird es auch wieder Bier und Mate geben!
